Big thanks to everyone for your caring calls, wonderful gifts, and amazing meals. We also love having all of the people stopping by to see us...Many friends have stopped by and we also had Carol's sister Heather in town and Susan plus family visited but they were carrying the plague so they couldn't hang long. All of the company is greatly appreciated. My family is coming out soon then we go on our big journey to San Jose for two weddings. Mason is going to have so much fun. Well, things are great and we just hope people keep stopping by and also enjoy the blog.

Lots of firsts
He went to his first party/ BBQ...He slept the whole time in the best seat in the house.
He went on his first walk...And there I was using my own legs like a sucker.
Mason had a big week of firsts and so did we. We had to take Mason to the emergency room because we were concerned about his circumsiscion bleeding. We got there and they said it looked fine. Its amazing how many times you have to pay fifty dollars before you get the right answer about something. I have to go back to work soon which stinks. My maternity leave is almost up...Makes me sad. Mason and Carol are doing very well. He keeps eating and growing and Carol keeps feeding him and recovering from the birth. She already looks like she never was pregnant. Things are going great for all of us. Chloe is doing much better around Mason which makes me very happy. I hope people are still checking this thing. I will keep updating it. I have another hiccup video on the way. I can't get enough of that. Now if I could only catch him sneezing. Thats the cutest.

Mason has been home for a few days now and we are all adjusting to daily life. He is up every two hours throughout the night for his feeding. He is still not getting the whole day night thing but we're not trying to rush it. He seems to sleep more in the day. We have had a steady stream of visitiors who are greatly appreciated. We like to share our boy with as many people as possible. I am trying to do my part and be the daytime diaper guy and gopher while Carol is busy feeding and comforting. Chloe doesn't know what to think of Mason so we are working on that slowly. Hopefully Chloe will get it or else its bye bye Chloe. As hard as it would be Mason is the most important thing to us now. Things are going great right now. I think we are both super happy to be with our little boy and together. Keep coming back for more updates...

Our beautiful boy in our favorite hat getting down with some good mommy time. It was a nice lazy second day in the hospital.
Mason and Daddy Mike chillin on the first day. One of my first times holding the boy. Check out the confidence. We had a lazy second day enjoying the company of a few friends and lots of doctors and nurse. We have to stay in one more day till morning so Mason can get a few more check ups. They want to make sure he does not have any infections. It was a grat second day as parents. I am excited to bring him into our world but nervous to take him into reality. Its nice having professionals at your beck and call to ansewer all ofthe burning questions. Tomorrow will be the real deal. Wish us luck!!

Mason's First Day
At 5:17 am on 8/06/09 Mason Alexander Mullen was born. This has been one of the longest, physically and emotionally draining days of our lives. It was also one of the most magical because of the birth of our son Mason. It has been an interesting first day of being parents. Carol and I spent many hours today getting lost in the actions and just plain cuteness of our new son. Almost every thought centered around him and what our future holds. We are both excited to begin this long journey and happy to share it via the internet with our friends.
